Queensland XCO Champs and Eliminator Report

Well I’m still buzzing from the XCO Queensland State Champs held at the Adare XC Track. With mother nature trying here hardest to deter the racers from enjoying the supreme track conditions, it was amazing to see over 150 faithful turn up to contest the state title and including some New South Welsh men and women.

The racing was fast and furious and the spectators noisier than a banshee, particularly on the side of the Magic Carpet climb, cowbells where ringing all day long.

But the competition was not just on the race track, with Norco Bikes Australia giving away a 2015 Norco Revolver 9.1 to one lucky early bird entrant and Yakima Racks – Australia giving a Front Loader away.

The prizes and give aways were a plenty with an array of Sol Breads sour-doughs, Axiom Performance Gear, Maxxis Bike Tyres Australia and the local Durham Produce for some amazing vegetable boxes and fuel vouchers!

Thanks to Element Photo and Video Productions for taking the snaps on the weekend, the gallery of images can be found http://gallery.elementphotovideo.com.au/galleries/bike/qldstatechamps2014

On behalf of The Riders Club I would like to thank all our sponsors and race committee for without them we would not have been able to hold such a great event and a special thanks to Norco Bicycles Australia for being the headline sponsor and Queensland Mountainbike for all the support for mountain biking in Queensland!
