Rode the Adare track this morning (Friday) and it is looking good for Sunday. Of NOTE it dosn’t rain at Adare in the mornings.
Change of directions to Adare (due to Bridge closure)
From Brisbane take the Gatton exit and head into Gatton along Eastern Drive.
Turn right into Old College Rd which is opposite the second service station on your left.
Travel 800m along Old College Rd, then turn right into Allan St. Keep following Allan St, which will take you under under the Hwy and it then turns into Adare Rd which leads you to the race track. So just keep driving straight.
We’ll also attempt to get some signage up.
If coming from Toowoomba I think the best way is still to take the Brisbane exit and get onto Eastern Drive.
Full Speed Ahead is the approach for this weekend’s third round of the Wild West Series at Adare.
Adare’s track is fortunate to be on a hill and on a sandy soil base, meaning rain doesn’t affect it like other tracks. So don’t change your plans – come out and race!
After last month’s “Heat Wave” layout that was short, flat and shady, this weekend should be at least 12 degrees cooler and will see a whole new spread – to help keep riders high and dry (ish).
Now all we need is a name for it.
The Wild West Series is an early season club racing series with three main values – cheap, simple, fun.
*Entry is a paltry $10 for MTBA license holders and day licenses are available.
*Rego at 7, racing from 8.
